When a dashboard has been shared with you, but you aren't quite sure what you are looking at, viewing the chart filters and settings can provide clarity on what information is included (or excluded) from the values displayed. |
To view a chart's configuration:
- Access the dashboard that you wish to explore.
- Mouse over the dashboard chart that you would like more information about, then click on the three-dot button once revealed to open the action menu.
- Click on the Show Chart Configuration option in the dropdown to view chart details.
You will notice that an expansion menu will appear on the left side of your view. This panel will provide information about:
- What chart type was used (Gauge, Data Table, Bar, Line, NPS, Record List, Display Text, or image)
- What data point was selected (Hierarchy/Location, Question, Program, etc)
- What metric was selected (Score percentage, Count, response value (numeric questions only), etc)
- What filters have been applied
Understanding the chart's configuration can help you understand the impacts additional filters may have (or may not have).
