In order to Create a Slack Connector:
- You must be an admin user on Intouch
- You much be an admin user on Slack
In order to create a Slack Connector, you will need to create a Webhook in Slack to accept the incoming data.
Create App with Webhooks in Slack
In order to create a new integration into Slack, you will build a new App to handle this. Navigate to the Slack App directory https://api.slack.com/apps4
You will see a listing of your already existing applications. Create a new App via clicking on the green "Create New App" button and give your App a name and workspace (typically your organization's account).
Once your App has been created, add the Incoming Webhooks functionality to the App.
You will then be prompted to select which channel this new App will be sending its notifications to. Select any existing private/public channel and click "Allow"
This will generate a unique Webhook URL that will be used later when setting up the Connector with Intouch.

Multiple Webhooks can be created within the same App. This would allow for a single App to serve as the integration point, yet multiple Webhooks can be used to provide integrations for specific scenarios. A single App can be created, with 2 Webhooks serving two distinct purposes. A Webhook used to post to a support room on low NPS survey submissions. A second Webhook can be created to possibly use for failed audits. Each of these would be setup as 2 Connectors within Intouch |
Create Intouch Slack Connector
Copy this Webhook URL and navigate to the Connectors section in Intelligence settings. Here you can create a new Connector with a type of Slack pasting in your Slack Webhook URL.
Now that you have a Slack Connector setup, you can create a trigger using this new Connector as its Action.
The end result will be a notification to your chosen Slack room based on the Trigger action setup.
When the record is received, it will now use your Connector and pass the messaging along to Slack to share with your team
